About Coy Davis
When God speaks about a specific calling, it is undeniable. For me this clarity is with serving in the mission field of Honduras. In 2011, I traveled with a group from my home church Northview Church in Fletcher, NC to serve a village in Honduras with Ignite Missions. That trip was the first time I felt God move in my heart about serving the people in Honduras. Now, years later after a season of personal and spiritual growth an opportunity to fulfill my calling has arrived. This past December I became a graduate of the Spanish Language Institute in San Jose, Costa Rica. This was my final step in becoming equipped to serve in Honduras as a full time missionary. Now I am serving alongside Ignite Missions in Honduras, spreading the love of Christ through my construction ministry, discipleship, hard work and sweat.
My heart for ministry is that God would raise up a body of leadership in and amongst the men of Honduras. I use my God given talent of construction to achieve this. I work alongside these men on projects and their homes, to open the door to begin a relationship with them. My hope is to find "people of peace"; men who are open and receptive, because God has gone before me and laid the ground work, who will in turn make their disciples that will make disciples, and will be the natural leadership of the church. The Bible calls men to be leaders, not only in the church but also in the home. If these men began to lead in a godly way, then it will change the society from the top down.
